Aug. 13th, 2014 12:00 pmClementine had planned on just leaving it in front of his apartment door and never telling him it was from her. When she made the wish to have a bigger drawing table brought into existence right outside his apartment, one he could use like she'd been using hers a whole lot already, because she knew he'd like it.
He'd been so sad, lately, and had been through a whole lot, even though she didn't know much of what that whole lot was. It was enough that doing something nice felt like a good thing to do, since he was always really nice to her. What she did remember was him saying he wanted to go to school for art, and it was what really gave her the idea. She would've even wished it into his apartment, even, if she wasn't worried it might accidentally be placed in a spot that wasn't good.
So outside his door it was, all ready to be picked up and brought inside to be used. She had hoped he was home, but it was clear, eventually, that he wasn't. It was so noticeable she started to get worried someone might take it that wasn't him. It was nice, after all. The thought was enough that she eventually parked herself right next to it, even though she'd been planning on going out to the park.
She didn't know how long she waited. What she did do while she sat here was doodle in her own pad, one of the few that was given to her when she made her first wish. She was about to start fresh on a new page of it when she heard someone walking down the hallway.
