"Yeah, sure," Jesse says, and now he's sure there's something wrong. Like maybe she's mad at him because he hasn't really been around for a while. But he's also been high lately, and the last thing he wants is to be around Clementine when he's like that.

"Look, I'm-- I know I haven't exactly been around a whole lot lately," he says.
