The park always reminded her of before the most.
She went to the one right by her house as often as she could, often practically dragging one of her parents along. It was different here, much quieter, but it still was a comfort to her to see some things she recognized. A swing set here looked a whole lot like a swing set anywhere.
She was on one of them, in fact, her feet dangling down, just barely above the ground, her face shaded from the sun by the worn out baseball cap she still wore on her head. For a while she just let it sway, not pumping her feet to try to start going higher. Admittedly, she was used to being pushed, but she'd have to make do by herself here - she hadn't asked Andrea to come with her today, because she seemed real busy.
That was okay, though. She didn't mind how she was right now, especially when the image of her old park being overrun by the monsters struck her. Things weren't so bad here, even away from her parents and Lee and everyone, when she thought about things like that.
